Irish-Hungarian Business Day
Did you know that over the past 20 years, the nations of Ireland and Hungary
have been forging ever closertrade, investment, tourism and cultural links?
This has occurred against the backdrop of a more integrated European Union.
In the frame of the Irish-Hungarian Business Day at Open4Business participants get the chance to get first hand information about the Irish business environment, meet prominent Irish companies and arrange b2b meetings during the two day event.
About the Irish-Hungarian Business Circle
The Irish-Hungarian Business Circle (IHBC) is a not-for-profit, member-based, politically independent organisation established in Budapest in 2005 to facilitate and develop business and social networks between Ireland and Hungary and within the Irish/Hungarian community as a whole. Our current President is Matty Ryan of Vistra Corporate Services Kft.
The IHBC is the founder and annual host of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Budapest and the black-tie, St.Patrick's Day Gala Dinner.
Over the next year, there are some exciting plans for growing the IHBC.
Business: The IHBC will continue to grow the close relationships with the Canadian and Italian Chambers of Commerce, as well as adding the British Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsorship: The IHBC intend to raise additional sponsorship money by increasing the public relations and media exposure for their membership.
Membership: This year three new board members joined the IHBC. The IHBC believes that increasing the diversity of your board helps to grow its membership - as well as being an important factor for sound and strategic decision-making.
Charity: 2019 will see the IHBC set up an official charitable foundation. A foundation will serve as a base for more support and allow the IHBC to give increased help to local communities across Hungary.

Enterprise Ireland is the government organisation responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets. We work in partnership with Irish enterprises to help them start, grow, innovate and win export sales in global markets. In this way, we support sustainable economic growth, regional development and secure employment.
Our priority is the achievement of export sales growth from Irish-owned companies. Export sales growth leads to an increase in demand for Irish goods and services, and increases the flow of income into the Irish economy. This is fundamental to job creation and maintenance in Ireland.
Enterprise Ireland works with entrepreneurs and business people across the full business development spectrum - from early-stage entrepreneurs, to established business owners and Irish multinational companies. Our clients include:
- High Potential Start-Up companies with the capability to start a business and sell in export markets.
- Established manufacturing and internationally traded services businesses that are Small or Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).
- Large companies (employing more than 250).
- Irish-based food and natural resource companies, that are overseas-owned or controlled.
